The resurrection

Acts 1:1-4

1 The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach, 2 until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen: 3 to whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God: 4 and, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.

Dr. Luke an Apostle, that is an eye witness disciple, one of the twelve of Jesus's inner circle recorded for us as he penned the book of Acts, that Jesus walked and talked with his disciples after being raised from the dead for 4o days 3 days after his crucifixion. The Roman world went into a panic, the Jewish Leadership concocted lie after lie to hide the truth of his return from the dead, they bribed the Romans who guarded his tomb, they forbade people from preaching Jesus in the Street. Not much has changed, you see the same thing happening now in Israel the attempt to outlaw the preaching of Jesus as the Christ, the Messiah that the Nation of Israel was waiting for.....strange how nothing in history ever changes.

Jesus Resurrection from the dead after being three days and three nights in the heart of the earth is a fact. Most people and even some prominent religions such as Islam dispute this as non factual. We as bible believing Christians, followers of the teachings of Jesus the Christ or Messiah if you prefer have ample evidence to refute these non-believers.

1 Corinthians 15:1-9

1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 by which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: 5 and that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: 6 after that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. 7 After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. 8 And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. 9 For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. 

We Christians have written documentation of the sworn testimony of the Apostles and over 500 witnesses....and of Paul the former Pharisee who became one of the greatest disciples of Jesus. No if you are a Jew how many witnesses do you need before you believe?

Deuteronomy 19:15

15 One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin, in any sin that he sinneth: at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be established.

So are 500 witnesses sufficient? If not why not? IS your Faith so week that you cannot follow the words of Life written for you? The truth of the Law and Prophets is that Jehovah told you the end from the beginning.

Isaiah 46:9-11

9 Remember the former things of old:

for I am God, and there is none else;

I am God, and there is none like me,

10 declaring the end from the beginning,

and from ancient times the things that are not yet done,

saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:

11 calling a ravenous bird from the east,

the man that executeth my counsel from a far country:

yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass;

I have purposed it, I will also do it.

Jesus told everyone present that he would be raised from the dead 3 days and 3 nights later...and yet in today's modern society it appears we have lost the ability to count to 3. Believing a Friday to Sunday Morning Fairy Tale.

Matthew 12:39-40

39 But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas: 40 for as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. 

Jonah 1:17

17 Now the Lord had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.

Jesus Fulfilled Scripture

Note: Many pick up on the Whale and Fish being two different renderings and claim an error in scripture, when in fact it just narrows down the genus of the animal. A Whale Shark is technically a fish that because of its size we call a whale. So by the two accounts we now can tell exactly what this specially prepared beast was, a Whale Shark Rhincodon typus to be exact....there are no errors in scripture.
