The Process of Conforming oneself to Christs Image, this process is a life long process it is a process by which a believer assembles together with other believers to hear the word of God preached so that he or she can learn how to perfect their own walk with Christ.
Hebrews 10:24-25
24 and let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: 25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
Romans 10:17
17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
One must always remember the walk of a Christian is a Relationship with Christ, you the Christian Disciple wanting to become just like Jesus Christ in word and deed. You strive to Emulate Jesus in the actions of your daily life. You conform your thought life within the guidelines of Christs Truth. You Strive daily to live as he did.
2 Corinthians 10:3-6
3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: 4 (for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5 casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 6 and having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.
So we are involved in a war, a war against the flesh, our Spirit, attached with the Spirit of God is warring against our flesh. Our Flesh creates strongholds within our mind, we can become addicted to the desires of the flesh. We must utilize the Spirit of God everyday to cast down imaginations, remember God created our mind we think, we can imagine anything. Once we imagine it then we can create it. That is why it is so dangerous when we opine about sin, because first we think about it then we start planning it, then we commit the act. We must learn to short circuit this immediately, cast down that imagination, and the high thought, that is you thinking you know better....bringing it into Captivity to the Obedience of Christ. Remember Christ was Obedient unto death, he was sinless, unfortunately we can't say the same. We as humans must struggle everyday with our thought life, and refresh it with the word of God.
