2 Peter 1:19-20
19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: 20 knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
The Christian must always understand that the words of God define the Truth, the Literal Truth, and we must use every word of God understand his truth.
Deuteronomy 8:3
3 And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live.
So what you see above is the 5,000 foot View of events as can align on the information given in the Book of Daniel, Yes we added Dates!, these Dates our are best understanding of the current truth as we see it. If they Don't come to pass then your a liar....No......, if they don't come to pass it means our understanding of the word of God is flawed, not an uncommon thing in Prophetic understanding. We will revisit the information when the time comes and update it as the time draws nearer and our vision of events clears up. The Timeline above is given as an outline based on our bible Believing Dispensational Prophetic Understanding.
There are 6,000 years allotted to man to rule the Earth with the Knowledge of Good and Evil, this is outlined in the book of Genesis. God has created 7 Dispensations, 7 Event Based Periods in which his knowledge is literally dispensed to man for man to reach a new chapter in his understanding of himself and his God. Each step is designed to show man that he cannot rule himself and God is a truly benevolent and loving creator. True to form there will be men alive at the end of this 6,000 year allotment who will corrupt his word and seek to usurp his ultimate authority. The men will be dealt with by the wrath of God, a period called the Great Tribulation, which is the Wrath of God as Stated in Scripture.
An Understanding we have Just come to is that the 33 1/2 years of Christ Life on the Earth must be added to the 6000 year dispensational hypothesis. Remember when Christ walked on the Earth incarnate the Kingdom of Heaven and the Kingdom of God were present simultaneously. Therefore isn't it logical to consider that this time is an "interruption" if you will in the dispensational timeline and should not be counted or essentially added to the timeline as a correction factor.
Revelation 19:15
15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
So our scripture readings has led us to understand that the start of Jesus Christs Ministry was the Start of the Troublous Times ie: the First part of a synonymous term tribulation. When Christ was Crucified in the middle of the week that Tribulation was put on hold because of the Israeli Nations Refusal to accept Messiah, this Necessitated the Age of Grace, Christians Doing what Jews Should have been doing in the Kingdom of Heaven. Fast forward 2,000 years, it is now time to bring the Jew Back to his Messiah (Kicking and Screaming) via the Great Tribulation. Living through the Roman Occupation was difficult for the Israeli Nation now in the Diaspora its even harder. So for next 31/2 years of Gods wrath on Earth will culminate in the Return of Christ. The Book of Daniel Dispensationally written to the Jewish Nation outlines the Timeline. 2,300 Days from the resumption of the Daily Sacrifice to the Cleansing of the Temple. Unfortunately until that day starts we don't exactly where we are in prophetic history....or do we. Well we know the Next Holy Day to be fulfilled is Trumpets, and we know when the Daily Sacrifices are Stopped by the Antichrist. So by putting two and two together we could tentatively piece together a timeline. Well the Crazy thing about it is the dates align perfectly with Daniels revelation.
Coincidence? View it for yourself, there is a plus or minus 1 day error, and that has to do with the proclaiming of the New Moon feasts versus the exact Astronomical events. We hope this information is useful and we hope you understand the lateness of the hour.
There are two Tribulations Mentioned in Scripture;
Troublous Times and The Great Tribulation
Troublous Times were the 31/2 period in which the Messiah walked the earth preaching the Kingdom of Heaven to the Nation of Israel, Unfortunately Israel as a Nation Rejected their Saviour, thus necessitating the injection of 2,000 years of an Age of Grace in which the Kingdom of God could be preached worldwide.
The Great Tribulation is another 31/2 year period of the wrath of God to turn the Israeli Nation Back to its Messiah. Here in is where the confusion began, Sir Robert Andersen a Presbyterian Preacher not believing the scriptural words of Daniel 12:4 believing that they were living in the End Times Put forth a New Theory in his Book The Coming Prince, that these two time periods are chronological, when in fact they are not.
Daniel 12:4
4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.
It is not till the events of Daniel Chapter 8 Unravel that we are in the Time of the End, as stated by scripture. Thus anyone purporting to understand the prophetic events in Daniel prior to this is misguided and flat out wrong. This brings us back to the very point when we started this discussion....every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. If you cherry pick God's word you end up in serious trouble. Or in the Case of Sir Andersen misunderstanding the events of scripture.
Daniel 9:25-27
25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times. 26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. 27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
1) The Restoration of Jerusalem Comes after 69 weeks, 62 plus 7, this rebuild occurs in Troublous Times...sometime after 69 weeks Messiah is Cut Off (separated from his people), and the city is destroyed by the Prince (Titus son of Caesar) with a massive army (flood) this war continues and cause desolation's until the end of the war.
2) Messiah Confirms a Covenant with the Many...after the 69 weeks for one week, 7 years but notice in the midst of the week He - Messiah causes the sacrifice and the oblation to cease.....So in the middle of this 7 year period Messiah is sacrificed, that is the only way the Sacrifices and Oblations can cease...the first 31/2 years the troublous time of Christ Jerusalem under Herod was being rebuilt.
3) After the sacrifice of their Messiah the Abominations Overspread ...hence HE-Messiah makes it desolate....till when? The Consummation - The completion of all things look up the meaning of the word....
Matthew 24:20-21
20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: 21 for then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
Revelation 7:9-14
9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; 10 and cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb. 11 And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God, 12 saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.
13 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they? 14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
