Salvation

Simply Put it is to be Saved....Okay saved from What?..... Eternal Death.

What? Why would I be facing Eternal Death?

Most People are completely oblivious to the fact that one day They will Die, their body will cease to function and your consciousness will go somewhere. Currently Science doesn't have an answer for where that somewhere is...But a Christian Believer Does.

If, and this is a Big if .... you believe what the Bible Says...which is the written word of God, he tells us that you will be cast into a Lake of Fire...

Revelation 20:15

15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Wait, wait, wait, what did I do to deserve burning in a lake of fire forever, I don't believe that! I haven't done anything deserving death....maybe, maybe not, but your father and mother did...what....wait what do you mean. At some point in history there was a man and a women, a Christian Believer calls them Adam and Eve....God said they sinned against him and chose the path of Eternal Death for their descendants.....

So, let me ask you this question, did you have any choice about being born into this world? Did you make a conscious decision to be born....no...it was your parents choice. 

If you are a scientist and believe your parents evolved from Apes this is still true, your parents decided to birth you, you had no choice in the matter. In fact you were not conscious of this whole discussion. You could have been aborted...but praise God Your Parents Chose to give you life.

But here is where we have a problem, God recorded that the Progenitors of the Human Race, made a mistake they Chose Death for their Children....They "sinned", that is they chose the opposite path of what God told them to do. Now you say I don't believe it... Ok you are living by sight, I get it, now look around, do you see anyone, anyone at all 200 years old? How about a 1,000, or 2,000? Just as surely as you are reading this someday your body is going to die just like every human whoever existed before you has died. 

Yeah So, Well God Told Your Progenitors that..... 

Genesis 2:16-17 

16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:  17 but  of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of  it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

So was God Lying? Are there any 6000 year old people out there? Of course not, because everyone knows people have been dying from as long as recorded history.... But do you have to die? 

Hebrews 9:27-28

27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: 28 so Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

So God appointed someone a ....SAVIOUR, that is someone to SAVE you from your sins. Now let's talk about your sins, if by some miracle you grew up the most pious human being on the planet and you think you have no sin...what about your parents? Can you say that about them? Ask any teenager about how pure his parents are....I think we can safely assume your parents at some time in their life sinned against God, and so on back to the original pair of Humans. You see even if you yourself did nothing, Sin is inherited...

Romans 5:12

12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: 

That's what God Says, but God made away out....why?

John 3:16

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.  

Its really about God's Love for you....Ahhh see now we have gotten down to the Brass Tacks, its all about love and belief.....do you believe? Do you posses enough love to Believe God or do you believe what you are told by another source on the Earth? Let us say for the sake of argument you believe none of what I have said so far, you know you will die right? We have established that by your own sight you can see no very old people, they are all dead every last one. So do you believe your Eyes or do you believe what the Enemy of God is telling you?  You shall surely not die.....

Genesis 3:4-5

4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: 5 for God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. 

You don't have to die, you can be just like God you can decide for yourself what is right and what is wrong......Do you see now the Lie of the enemy. Its all up to you, don't listen to what God tells you to do you have the power in yourself to Chose your own destiny....do you? Do you really? God told you if you accept knowing good and evil, that is making choices without Gods input...your going to die. Your ancestors made that decision to die, but God reached out his hand to save you, all you have to do is accept it...Believe God or believe the Lie the choice is yours, God has given you free will to make that choice.

Deuteronomy 30:19-20

19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: 20 that thou mayest love the Lord thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the Lord sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.

In the Past there were people just like you and I Abraham, Isaac and Jacob by name...they lived in a sinful and corrupt world, but they chose Life.  

They Chose to believe in a coming Saviour, the Saviour came and now we can believe on him we can confess his name and believe in our heart that his blood sacrifice atoned for all our sins past present and future. The Choice is yours.

Romans 10:8-10

8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; 9 that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.  

Romans 3:25-26

 25 whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness  for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of  God;    26 to declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. 

In this Dispensation of Grace you have but to Believe in the Blood Atonement of your God. Now you ask okay, what does it cost? Not a thing, the Faith of and in Jesus Christ is what Saves you!!

Ephesians 2:8-9 

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:  9 not of works, lest any man should boast.
